After I graduated with my law degree in Bulgaria I worked as a seafarer for 6 years for Carnival Cruise Lines. Many of you know me from there and know my style of work. From years with Carnival I kept a lot of good memories, but also a lot of pain knowing what seafarers are going through in their daily life on board. Lured by promises of a lucrative carrier and stories for "the family" of which they are a supposable part, many seafarers will have to go the hard way to figure out that it's all just a story. At the point when the seafarers get injured, they become useless to the company and the truth comes up that neither the work was worth it nor there is a "family" that will support them the way they supported the "family".
