Daniel J. Halperin

Daniel J. Halperin, an attorney at Sequor Law, focuses his practice on corporate bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and a range of insolvency matters, both within the United States and across international borders.

Prior to joining Sequor Law, Daniel provided legal representation to a diverse group of stakeholders, including debtors, debtors-in-possession (DIP), DIP lenders, committees, secured and unsecured creditors, foreign representatives, trustees, asset purchasers and other parties in interest. His experience extends to cases filed under chapters 7, 11, and 15 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Daniel earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of the Charles C. Papy Jr. Moot Court Board and the University of Miami Business Law Review. During his time in law school, he was recognized with several accolades, including membership in the Order of the Barristers, the Cali Excellence for the Future Award in Reorganization in Bankruptcy, the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement Award in Evidence and Secured Transactions.

In 2024, Daniel was appointed as Vice-Chairman of the Claims and Priorities Subcommittee of the Business Bankruptcy Committee under the Business Law Section for the American Bar Association.

In addition to his legal education, Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Herbert School of Business at the University of Miami. His MBA studies included concentrations in Mergers and Acquisitions as well as International Business.

Daniel is also an alumnus of the University of Central Florida, where he completed his undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
