I was reffered this attorney from a trusted friend and ex attorney or mine. Jeevan assured me that he was experience in handling matters such as mine and was very confident that he could get it dismissed. After he quoted me his price I declined and offered him $2000 dollars to handle my case. He sai...d no and I respected that and went about my day then he told wrote me a whole paragraph about how he was able to “move his schedule around” to help me and accepted my price to handle my case/ he needed an answer within one hour to take my case. I paid Him upfront due to him telling me a long story about how people do payment plans and he always had to wait on his money. I told Him I would Pay upfront and whatever form or payment best suited him I would accommodate to that. We agreed that the payment would be cash and he scheduled to see me at a CVS, I paid him chit chatted with him and again he assured me he would get this all dismissed. I dont want to discuss the case due to it still is an ongoing matter. We were scheduled for court a few days later and he messaged me saying he will call an hour prior to go over his process and structure of the proceeding, the day of court he called me literally 15 minutes prior and I sent Him 20 screen shots of very short messages that was evidence and a video that was essential to my case. I itemized it all and labeled it all to make things easier. Jeevan called me 15 minutes prior to court on The day that we were scheduled to court it an hour before like we discussed, it was obvious in my opinion he was aware of the situation and I gave him the whole strategy for my defense which was basically all the facts. The judge appeared he saw how many witnesses I had on my side that was about 7 people and he told us that his court zoom hearing were designed to last 15-20 minutes and due to the number of witnesses we had he would rather schedule court for a later date. I texted Jeevan to object to that and rebuttal by saying we were not going to use all these witnesses we could make it quick. The judge said he overruled his objection and he still is setting court for a later date. I asked Javeen to call me afterwards to see where do we go from here and I never got a call back for several days. It was obvious in my opinion he felt as if this was a perfect opportunity to try and charge me more money, as I suspected I called Him after about a week and he said he’d call me back, he did after several days call me just to tell me that he reviewed over 100 documents and was bringing up the few phone calls that we were on that lasted over 30 minutes and was insinuating then saying that he will have to charge me 3000 dollars more to show up to court and handle my case in which was already paid for initially. I told him it was not my fault the judge set it back and if he complained about the amount of witnesses that were there on my behalf. I felt as though he was trying to bully me with legal verbiage and the contract that I signed with him in good faith. I asked him how it makes sense for me to pay for a case upfront for him to handle for me and it not be handled at all and per his contract it states that my money was good for 20 hours of work which clearly he had not done 20 hours of work. He simply brushed me off and was telling me that I was Telling him that “he didn’t know how to do his job”, which I never aid and he was using that as an excuse and a tool to escalade and argument for the purpose of trying to charge me more money for my case that he never even had the chance to try. Jeevan is super unprofessional and in my opinion is a liar and I’ve asked him for my receipt and an itemized breakdown showing all the hours he supposedly worked on my case. He rapidly became irate and didn’t even give me the respect to explain to me where did all my money go. He gave me a run around and kept repeating himself and putting words in my mouth. I wouldn’t have this guy representing me not even for a parking ticket.
