Emi Ito Ortiz

EMI ITO ORTIZ is an associate with Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., resident in the Miami office.  Ms. Ortiz focuses her practice on antidumping and countervailing duty law, customs classification and valuation, and Section 337 intellectual property litigation. Her AD/CV experience includes attaining a no-injury determination and a favorable finding by the International Trade Commission concerning the cumulation of subject imports.  She has represented foreign and U.S. businesses in dozens of Section 337 cases and has represented clients before federal courts and various U.S. agencies, including the International Trade Commission, the Department of Commerce, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ortiz practiced international trade and intellectual property litigation at a boutique international trade firm in Washington, D.C., where she focused on Section 337 and AD/CV litigation.

Ms. Ortiz is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of International Trade and is a member of the bar in Florida, District of Columbia and Maryland. She holds a J.D. from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and a bachelor’s degree with honors from Dartmouth College.
