Replied last September 29, 2019This case was settled years prior. Some money was held back pending an ancillary litigation known as a pip suit. That litigation was undertaken on behalf of the client by other lawyers and took 5 years. Upon prevailing in that case, the balance of the settlement funds were disbursed to the client. This is the procedure that must be followed and which was agreed to by the client. Communication with the client was frequent.
