I engaged Beatrice Jacobs as my divorce attorney, and I must express my concerns about her services. The representations made on her website do not reflect the reality of her practice. Her primary focus appeared to be securing the retainer fee. Initially, she was readily accessible, but once payment ...was received, contacting her became exceedingly challenging. During the divorce mediation, I was allowed by her to sign a vague parenting plan, despite her own admission that it was open to interpretation and susceptible to further motions—indicative of a potential profit motive on her part. Consequently, after spending tens of thousands of dollars with her, I now face nearly $1,000,000 in expenses related to the motions stemming from the ambiguities in the parenting plan she endorsed. I don't recommend this attorney.

I hired Ms. Jacobs to handle a frustrating never ending child support issue with my ex. She took my call late in the day and stayed after hours to meet me. I hired her that night. After several games from my ex and his lawyer, they realized I hired someone who was not going to be intimidated. She is ...aggressive and will fight for you. I received exactly what I was entitled to which she made clear I was entitled to in our consultation. She fought really hard for me to get it! If you want a lawyer that is compassionate, honest and very real with you about what you are (and aren’t!) entitled to then this is the lawyer for you. I appreciate you so much Ms. Jacobs, thank you!

Divorces are stressful. The last thing you need is to add more stress by hiring this lawyer. After paying her, she never returned my calls, texts or emails. She waited until the very last possible minute to have me completed forms, where, then, I had to rush. Her mistakes were a misunderstanding on ...my part. She gave me wrong information so no, she is not knowledgeable. I was completely by myself through the entire process. There was no legal support from her. You are better off hiring a paralegal.

Every form she completed had to be done at least twice. She took an enormous amount of time to complete quadro. Had to call or text so many times. Ex wife's lawyer said he had never seen anything like the way she had filled out paper work. It cost my ex $2000 extra because her lawyer had to keep requ...esting things to be redone. In the end, she offered no apology . She actually acted like she had done me a favor. I should try to recoup some of the fees I paid, but I really can't be bothered. This review is the only thing I will say.
