Hello and thank you for becoming acquainted with my services and my belief in adoption as a solution for unwanted or unplanned pregnancies. Please allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Ellen Kaplan.  I am both a registered nurse and an attorney.  My firm, The Law Offices of Ellen M. Kaplan, P.A., is limited to private placement adoption. I deeply appreciate your taking just one or two minutes to read this letter and review the information here on AVVO, just to become acquainted with my service. If you should hear of or be working with an expectant mother who needs options, I hope that you will mention me to her. I am a former Labor & Delivery Nurse, and have been handling private adoptions for 15 years.

I believe that adoption is not only a wonderful choice for a mother to make, but also an option that more pregnant women should have fully explained to them. Often times, women who are struggling with an unplanned pregnancy are not aware of all the facts regarding the choice of adoption as opposed to other alternatives. It is my hope to inform more mothers (and birth fathers) about this option, which can lead to great joy for couples who cannot conceive. Many people have misconceptions about what adoption entails and do not realize how it benefits the pregnant woman.  Women contemplating placing their child for adoption can receive assistance with their living expenses and medical care during the pregnancy and for up to six (6) weeks after the baby is born.

Speaking with me brings no cost or obligation to the birthmother, yet can introduce a win-win option for a woman who is torn about what to do with her pregnancy. My purpose in sending you this card is merely to make you aware that my service exists, and that I provide kind, compassionate and professional adoption services.  I give every birth mother complete respect and understanding, while allowing them to consider adoption as a choice.  Only a pregnant woman who is informed and educated can better make a decision for herself and her unborn child. And ultimately, whatever she decides to do, I do not criticize or judge her. I respect her decision.
