I hired this attorney who thought I had a good chance of obtaining guardianship over my mother who was in an abusive nursing home. Come to find out on the day of the hearing, that I didn't have a case at all with my witness account against the medical opinion of the abusive doctors; we were on the lo...sing end against the nursing home. Had I known the odds of winning from day one of interviewing this lawyer, I would have kept looking for other options to get my mom out of this nursing home. My mother died shortly after losing this court case. Just a heartbreaking outcome. My mother and I never stood a chance of winning against a Power of Attorney and nursing home with this lawyer arguing that a witness statement of the neglect and abuse my mother suffered was insufficient for the court to rule that she was in imminent danger by staying there. Why not provide options for an independent medical review to make this assessment, if my statements were insufficient. Why wait until the day of the trial to tell me that my witness statements were insufficient. Why argue that the nursing home's medical statements would superscede any witness statement made, just because they are medical doctors--why rely on abusive doctors' statements without a fight-- judging from the bedsores I saw all over my mom's body, that nursing home's medical statements should have been contested. It is my opinion that this lawyer not only could not do their job to contest such a plain injustice, but promised a good outcome just to get paid. She rescinded the positive assessment of the case on the day of the hearing, after getting paid. My case was poorly represented and, also, misrepresented by this lawyer.

I hired her to respond to a paternity case that my daughter's father filed against me asking for 50 % time sharing. She had my case since February 20 and in August 20 we had the mediation. I found out during this mediation that if I didn't accept the conditions of the time sharing that my ex was aski...ng in his petition I had to pay him for the night's difference that I'd have my daughter with me base on the fact that I make 3 times the money he makes. This should be basics for any family lawyer. If she'd have told me that from the beginning I wouldn't have paid a 3 hour mediation ( $300 an hour) and I'd have accepted my ex time sharing request from the beginning without the need of spending over $4000.
