It is likely you receive an RFE and not denial of the I-130. This does not preclude you from taking new supporting documents to the interview.

You must send to NVC documents which you already submitted to USCIS. NVC and USCIS are different agencies.

All the above comments are correct. However, online status may be unreliable from my experience and many others. I would follow up by calling USCIS...
