Michael Gerard Kissner Jr.

Michael Kissner is a life-long resident of Vero Beach, Florida, and a third generation native of the area.  In 1999, he graduated from Vero Beach High School, where he received honors for both academic and athletic achievements and was a leader in student government. He went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, where he played varsity football and was a member of The University Cottage Club. Mr. Kissner’s academic success continued while a student at Florida State University College of Law, where he received a book award for achieving the highest grade in his Torts class. Upon receiving his law degree, he returned to Vero Beach and practiced with a highly regarded local litigation firm prior to joining Collins Brown Barkett.

Devoted to his community, Mr. Kissner is an active member of several local organizations and has held leadership positions in each of them. He is currently president elect of Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside and a board member and treasurer of the Princeton Club of Vero Beach. He is also on the board of the Indian River Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network, Indian River County Foundation for the Elderly, and Main Street Vero Beach. He is a past president of the Indian River County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Kissner is a member of First Baptist Church of Vero Beach.

Mr. Kissner focuses his practice on the areas of serious injury, wrongful death, commercial litigation, probate litigation, and business disputes. He has represented a wide variety of clients, from local businesses and individuals to governmental entities and multi-national insurance companies. Mr. Kissner is admitted to practice before all Florida state trial courts and the Middle and Southern Federal District Courts of Florida.
