Helen Eleanor Scott

Helen Scott has been practicing labor and employment discrimination law on behalf of employers in Florida since 1986. Prior to moving to Florida, she was the Personnel Director for the City of Farmington Hills, Michigan for 12-1/2 years.

Helen represents employers in administrative and litigation defense, employment discrimination, civil rights, labor relations, wage and hour issues, public employment labor relations, and arbitrations. The focus of her practice is prevention, with the goal of helping employer’s avoid employment-related lawsuits. To accomplish this, she encourages her clients to discuss proposed decisions with her before they are finalized and to allow her to review new employee policies before they are implemented. Understanding that employers don’t always know when they are violating the law, the firm conducts employment law compliance audits to give clients peace of mind.

She is a frequent speaker before employer groups concerning new employment-related laws, sexual harassment, drug testing laws, and other labor and employment-related issues, and was an adjunct professor at Indian River State College. 

Helen received her Juris Doctorate from the Detroit College of Law, and her B.A. in Personnel Administration from the University of Detroit.
