I am a 2005 graduate of the Florida State University (go Noles!) where I majored in Political Science, and minored in Economics and Anthropology.
Directly after undergraduate, I attended Loyola University Chicago Law School (JD 2008), where I certified in Health Law. My main area of interest was physician and hospital compliance, which lead to an interest in the inner-workings of the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Issues related to health care services and access are important to me, and I recently contributed an article on Medicare and Medicaid fraud in home health care to the 25th Anniversary edition of the Annals of Health Law, Loyola's health law journal.
Personal interests include: community service (particularly serving vulnerable populations such as children, the disabled, and the elderly), art, FSU athletics, the beach, and quality time with my family. My sisters both play college basketball and I enjoy watching their games whenever possible.
