Yes, his hourly rate is higher than other attorneys in the area, but you get what you pay for! He and his staff are incredibly responsive and always handle things in a timely manner. He kept me in the loop every step of the way of my case, which took three years due to a change in the way the courtho...use schedules cases for trial and delay tactics from the other side. He also bills VERY fairly (down to the minute) and has lower hourly rates when his staff handles something instead of him. Many people find his no BS, straight to the point attitude to be rude or off-putting, but I appreciate that I always knew exactly what the situation was and what to expect, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. He has so many connections within the local legal community, that he can make things happen that other attorneys without those connections wouldn't be able to do. He was willing to schedule mediation on a weekend, if that's what had to happen to get my case settled out of court rather than going to trial. He is incredibly well versed in all the legal options out there, so when he told me "there is no way you're getting this from a judge" he already had another solution in the works. Somehow he worked his magic and got opposing counsel to agree to a workaround that we never would have gotten at trial, and we managed to settle without an expensive trial saving me at least $12,000. Hopefully I never need a family law attorney again, but if I do, I will be going right back to Mr. Landman.
