I hired Annabelle back in August 2015 to do a child support modification, and till this day she has not done a thing with my case. I am still paying child support for a child that lives on her own. Annabelle is very slow to communicate and return correspondence. I also never even received a contra...ct or any form of services outline for what she would be doing. Its now Dec 22, 2015 and I am going to use another attorney, but now she won't give me my retainer back. According to what I found while researching this issue, she doesn't have a choice in the matter but she still refuses to refund my money. RULES OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT 4-1 CLIENT-LAWYER RELATIONSHIP RULE 4-1.5 FEES AND COSTS FOR LEGAL SERVICES (e) Duty to Communicate Basis or Rate of Fee or Costs to Client and Definitions. (1) Duty to Communicate. When the lawyer has not regularly represented the client, the basis or rate of the fee and costs shall be communicated to the client, preferably in writing, before or within a reasonable time after commencing the representation. A fee for legal services that is nonrefundable in any part shall be confirmed in writing and shall explain the intent of the parties as to the nature and amount of the nonrefundable fee.

Annabelle is the most superior and professional attorney that I have had represent me in my family law case. I had three (3) other attorneys, all males, represent me in the past and each one did absolutely NOTHING for me.
