My visa was revoked. The US embassy said they said they would find out why and if it can be reversed. Is a reversal possible?

Sure, it is possible, but it depends on why the visa was revoked. Sometimes it is because of a someone with a similar name. It's impossible to tell...

They can ask the court for an extension to file their brief without your consent. Often opposing sides do not consent and the extension is granted....

An appeal must be not be frivolous. If it is sought to delay then you might run into problems.

The court can issue a writ, but as my colleague noted, they usually require rent to be paid as a bond condition for the stay.
