Laura Caroline Thompson

Attorney Laura C. Thompson, Esq. has been practicing law since September of 2008.  A graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, she returned to the area after spending the past 7 years practicing in South and Central Florida.  Ms. Thompson is a dedicated practitioner of criminal defense, traffic defense, and family law and a former assistant public defender and assistant regional counsel.  She is an experienced trial attorney with ample jury and nonjury trial experience in criminal, traffic, and family court.  She currently practices in North and Central Florida and has represented clients in multiple counties throughout the region.   

Ms. Thompson believes in the power of serving others and dedicates herself to select pro bono family and criminal case work.  An advocate for the homeless population of Florida, she was recognized by the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida for her volunteer work with sheltered children and with the organization’s grants department.  In addition to her Bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida and her Juris Doctorate, Ms. Thompson is currently finishing a Masters degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida so that she may continue to increase her service to the community.
