Kimberly Laura Derry

I hired Kimberly Derry a number of years ago. I prepaid her the fee she requested to handle the matter and I even promised a 25% bonus of the moneys she collected over and above the initial amount owed (there was a sizable amount of interest for non payment). I have always had problems trying to get ...her to comunicate and keep me updated on what is happening. I have been emailing her every few months and this year she has not bothered to answer any of my emails. I have also phoned the company and left voice messages, none have been returned. This is not the kind of lawyer I would engage to work on my behalf. If I had only known then what I know now I would have taken my business elswhere. I am now still trying to get Kimberly to do what she was hired to do and will never see the $20,000.00+ owed to me but have also wasted the fee I had to pay her.

Ms. Derry helped me with a credit card lawsuit. I was on a deadline, so I needed help right away. Ms. Derry immediately put me at ease and gave me the immediate impression that she could be trusted. Boy was I right! She made me feel like I was her only client by taking her time with me and answer...ing all of the questions I had over the course of multiple phone calls. She kept me informed with the status of my case every step of the way. It is rare to find an attorney that is so caring and experienced but who also defends your rights aggressively, when needed. Not only was the lawsuit dismissed, but she was even able to recoup the fees I paid her from the credit card company! Not one dime out of my pocket to defend the lawsuit! I had no idea this was even possible. She is a permanent fixture in my rolodex and I will not hesitate to call her again in the future. A very special person, indeed.

this lawyer was referred to us by a friend to help us with a foreclosure. after talking to her she recommended bankruptcy and we took her advice. we paid her $1500 and were going to give her the last $500 later. after some time of no action and not hearing from her she recommended that we get anot...her lawyer since we moved out of state. she said that she would return our money minus $200 for paperwork. we thanked her and again took her advice. two months went by and we never received any money. another month went by before we were able to get a hold of her. she said that she was changing banks and would send us the money by the end of the week. another month went by and she did not return phone calls or emails. we called the bar association and it took one of their lawyers calling her to ask her to contact us in order for us to hear anything. she told the barr that she had sent the money, and she told us that she had lost our address and needed it again. i sent her the address and reminded her that the amount promised was $1300 to return. she said her records only had her receiving $1000 from us and would return $800. it took me having to get a copy of the cashiers check we sent her for the total amount and sending her a copy with her signature on the back. she never responded and sent us only $800 and a bill charging us for random phone calls. she did nothing illegal but it was still deceitful and shady. she made a promise and we in good faith trusted her. i would not recommend her to anyone and would warn people not to trust her. we have learned a valuable lesson.

My case was not an easy one. Kimberly heard me out, and gave me the honest truth about my situation. I appreciated the way she informed me, and didn't mis lead me to making costly and un wise decisions regarding my case. Kimberly has always been quick to respond to my questions, and I will keep her n...umber on file for anything that may happen in the future. Kimberly really knows what's she's doing, and wouldn't dare lead anyone down the wrong path. That's rare in my experience with Lawyers. Kimberly Derry is a keeper!
