Sarah Patience Jacobs, a New Jersey native, graduated from Monmouth University in 2006 with a B.A. in Political Science and earned her J.D. from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2011, where she was an editor of the Barry Law Review. Joining Culbertson, Jacobs & LaBoda, PLLC out of law school, Ms. Jacobs has successfully represented hundreds of Social Security claimants in federal court appeals and has briefed cases before the Eleventh Circuit. She was co-counsel in Culbertson v. Berryhill, securing a 9–0 U.S. Supreme Court win on January 8, 2019. In December 2016 she became Board Certified in Social Security Disability by the National Board of Trial Advocacy—one of only ten in Florida. Ms. Jacobs chairs the Orange County Bar Association’s Social Security Committee and devotes her practice exclusively to assisting claimants at every stage of the disability process. She enjoys family time with her husband and five children.
