I am an immigrant born in Colombia. I immigrated to the United States in 2001. I earned a Master’s Degree (LL.M) in International Law at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, FL. Prior to establishing Portillo Immigration Law in 2014, I worked for Roberto Moreno, former immigration judge and other prestigious firms in Central Florida. I am admitted to practice in the state of New York and in the Republic of Colombia; my practice is limited to Immigration and Nationality Law.
I have extensive experience representing individuals and families in complex immigration matters before EOIR and USCIS. I have been able to obtain grants in complex matters, including but not limited to Asylum, Withholding of removal and CAT, Adjustment of Status with Waivers, Cancellation of Removal for Non-Legal Permanent Residents and Permanent residents, Consular Processing, Waivers, Labor Certifications, National Interest Waivers, Talent, Business and Investment Visas. In addition to my practice, I am one of the counselors of the selected pool of immigration attorneys for the Mexican Consulate in Orlando, FL. I am frequently invited to offer presentations and workshops in the community on a variety of topics in immigration law. I enjoy and devote countless hours supporting the immigrant community. I am also an advocate for immigration reform, I have appeared on Hispanic news outlets as Univision and Telemundo where I discussed DACA, immigration reform, and current immigration topics.
I enjoy spending my free time with my husband, and three children.
