Jennifer Lawson is board certified by the Florida Bar in Marital and Family Law. Jennifer has been primarily practicing family law in Central Florida since graduation from law school in 2011.
Jennifer was drawn to the practice of law because of her desire to dedicate her career to helping others. Jennifer’s temperament makes her well suited for helping families through the difficult challenges that family law matters may present. Jennifer’s passion for practicing family law is apparent through her devotion to her clients.
Jennifer received her B.A. in Political Science (Cum Laude) from the University of Florida in 2008. While an undergraduate, Jennifer was Secretary of the prestigious Pre-Legal Honor Society and co-chaired Law in the Swamp, a campus wide conference for pre-law students.
Jennifer received her Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2011. While in law school, Jennifer received a certificate in Family Law and was awarded the Merit Scholarship from the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers for being the most outstanding Family Law student in her graduating class. Jennifer also earned the Book Award (highest grade in the class) for Florida Family Court and was selected as a teacher’s assistant for Appellate Advocacy and Legal Research and Writing. Jennifer demonstrated her leadership skills within the legal community in many ways, including serving the Family Law Society as President during her third year and facilitating events and conducting research for the Center on Children and Families as their fellow.
Jennifer is currently an active member of the Florida Bar, Orange County Bar Association, Central Florida Family Law American Inn of Court, Collaborative Family Law Group of Central Florida, Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers and Central Florida Gator Club. Jennifer currently serves on the committees for Domestic Violence and Children’s Issues with the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and as the Secretary for the Central Florida Gator Club.
