Erica Michelle Cipparone

Erica M. Cipparone is a partner with Beusse Wolter Sanks & Maire, PLLC, and a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Erica provides representation in areas of intellectual property including patents, trademarks, copyrights, with a particular emphasis on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and trademark applications. Erica concentrates her patent practice in the technical areas of biomedicine, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.

To further enhance her patent preparation and prosecution skills in the area of biotechnology, Erica is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida, including in depth coursework in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, genomics and proteomics, with a particular emphasis in applied cancer research.

Erica guest-lectured at the University of Central Florida Biomedical Sciences Graduate Students Association’s Careers in Science Symposium on patent, copyright and trademark matters, and on the topic of careers in Intellectual Property Law in 2015.

Prior to joining Beusse Wolter Sanks & Maire, PLLC, Erica attended Barry University School of Law with a focus on patent law and other intellectual property matters where she received a book award in Patents. Before attending law school, Erica worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for several years in outpatient and inpatient hospital pharmacies as well as compounding and retail pharmacies throughout both Central Florida and Utah. Erica is well versed in the Spanish language.
