Christopher Michael Harne

Chris Harne grew up in Orlando and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University, where he majored in English with a minor in Italian.  While at Emory, he served in an editorial capacity for two different student newspapers and authored numerous articles regarding current events and culture.

Chris earned his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, graduating Cum Laude.  Chris was a member of the law review at Mercer, and competed on a moot court team that reached the national semifinals while earning the Best Brief Award.  He was also named a National Member of The Order of Barristers, and earned the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing.

Following law school, Chris began his legal practice primarily in the areas of insurance coverage and defense.  He has since expanded his practice to offer a wide array of services in both litigation and business law.  He has litigated cases involving insurance disputes, personal injury and wrongful death, contract and business disputes, business torts, defamation, Internet disputes, and employment matters.  He also assists clients that are opening new businesses, or re-structuring and improving existing businesses.

Chris is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.  He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Historical Society of Central Florida, and has been published in the Florida Bar Journal and Mercer Law Review.
