Unprofessional, modeless, dont care!
Mr. Octavio Andrade was a replacement of the Melendez lawyer for a criminal case. This "lawyer" did not have the courtesy or respect for us after waiting two hours in court for him, to indicate that he was going to represent us in the case. It is unprofessional and incompetent. Never use this lawyer...
This is a terribly misleading and misinformed review. I am sorry that you confused my brevity for callousness and incompetence. I believe it is import to point out that you never retained me for your services. You never paid me or hired me to represent you. As you so aptly point out, I was never your attorney. You had hired, Attorney Carlos Melendez, and his firm to represent you and be present at all of your court appearances. I have no affiliations with nor am I employed by the Melendez Law Firm nor do I receive any payment from Carlos Melendez. I do know him and know him to be a fine Attorney. The incident that you refer to and use to judge my 20 years of legal service and unblemished ethical career, is one in which I stood in for, Attorney Carlos Melendez, on your behalf. I did this entirely as a favor to him and consequently you. At that particular and singular hearing I was asked to stand in for Attorney Melendez by his office. This is not an uncommon action between attorneys as sometimes various forces can affect an attorney's ability to be present. On this occasion, Attorney Melendez was unable to attend and had inquired if I would be present in that courthouse on that date. I was present and representing my own clients, who had in fact retained my services. I was in fact required to be present in various courtrooms and not just the one you were in. I was briefed by Attorney Melendez on this preliminary court hearing in your case and informed of the goals for that hearing. I would like to stress that I was successfull in accomplishing those goals in a timely matter and was not late to your court date. It is also important to state that none of my actions hindered nor delayed your case before the court in any way. On the contrary my appearance at the bequest of, Attorney Melendez, allowed for your case to progress without any delay or any negative detriment. I also immediately informed Attorney Melendez as to the results so he could properly next advise you as to the legal consequences and results. Unfortunately I did not have the time to explain everything to you and I do lament that but I was do in other courtrooms to represent my own clients. In short my actions on that day were done as a favor for, Attorney Melendez, and yourself without any financial reward or benefit to myself. I know the legal process can be frustrating and I strive to assist when possible in all matters and have dedicated over 20 years of experience to that end. I hope one day you will learn to appreciate the favor that was done for you on that day as I took time out of my own schedule to assist a fellow attorney and yourself in the daunting task of the legal profession. I wish you all the best.
