Stay away from this attorney. My experience was extremely negative. The advice I received appeared to be based on creating fear rather than providing honest, practical legal guidance. It felt like the goal was to secure business rather than actually help the client. I was charged for services that... were either never performed or provided little to no value. After speaking with others and getting additional perspective, it became clear that much of the advice I was given was unnecessary and not in my best interest. I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this experience crossed a line. Clients come to attorneys during stressful situations and rely on their expertise. When that trust is taken advantage of, it has real consequences. I would strongly caution anyone considering working with this lawyer to do their research and seek a second opinion before moving forward.

We paid $5,000.00 to Attorney Tufts to alieviate an IRS debt of $25,000 as a result of a fraudulent accountant. We were billed once in Aug. for $765.00 to review and evaluate tax return, then again in Nov. for $967.50 for reviewing file notes and returns. The later included "preparing letter to cli...ents summarizing findings and issues. It is now Feb. 2020, and nothing has been accomplished to resolve our situation. We have incurred penalties, and are out $5,000.00 for Attorney Tufts. We would have been further ahead paying that money to the IRS. Do not hire Attorney Tufts to resolve your tax situation. Not only is it money for nothing, you will incurred more fees if he makes a decision to proceed. We might as well have thrown that money out the window.
