Steven John Gilpatrick

Mr. Gilpatrick did a phenomenal job for me. He was very upfront and gave me a realistic idea of what the outcome of my divorce would be. He never "sugar coated" anything and I always felt he gave me his utmost honesty throughout the process. His staff was great to work with, always there to answer my... questions and helped to ease a very stressful time for me. I felt I was billed fairly throughout the process for Mr. Gilpatrick's fees and always received a clearly outlined invoice for all services rendered (including time spent, what he did etc...). I sought him out for my divorce case as he came highly recommended by my friend. Quickly realized he likes to talk over people, which never made me feel heard when I had questions. My friend apologized and stated that wasn't at all how he was with her. Well, I'm divorced now and mostly left confused.... It would be too soon before I paid him to represent me again.

Steve was only worried about billing me and not winning my case. My wife's lawyer took him to town on our first round of paper work. He did not advise me according to the law. I only found this out once I switched lawyers because his staff had such poor customer service. So I wasted $3500 for him to ...do nothing. Steve is a smooth talker but can't back it up. Don't waste your money.

I hired gilpatrick for my divorce and child custody. He assured me I had nothing to lose with my ex husbands arrest records, child abuse cases and after not seeing his son for years. I put forth $11,000 and he kept asking for more and more. Contact got less and less. I ended up losing custody of my s...on mostly due to his will to not fight for what's right because 11,000 just wasn't enough. He told me upon meeting him he played golf with my judge and not to worry there was no way I would lose my son. Yet reality he should of said if you keep giving me money you won't lose your son.

When I retained Gilpatrick as my divorce attorney I had a successful business, beautiful daughter, a nice house, large retirement savings, etc. When Gilpatrick was finshed "representing" me in my divorce; my business was gone, I was jobless, penniless, and HOMELESS, on the verge of declaring bankr...uptcy with over $70,000 in debt. I lost family heirlooms and gifts and lost custody of my daughter. All this to my spouse who had a history of domestic violence with a restraining order!!!
