Steven John Gilpatrick

Mr. Gilpatrick did a phenomenal job for me. He was very upfront and gave me a realistic idea of what the outcome of my divorce would be. He never "sugar coated" anything and I always felt he gave me his utmost honesty throughout the process. His staff was great to work with, always there to answer my... questions and helped to ease a very stressful time for me. I felt I was billed fairly throughout the process for Mr. Gilpatrick's fees and always received a clearly outlined invoice for all services rendered (including time spent, what he did etc...). If you want to know you are in good hands and be able to trust in your attorney, hire Mr. Gilpatrick.

I spoke to Mr Gilpatrick about a legal issue I am having in Florida and I live out of state. I have had very bad luck with attorney's recently but was very pleased with Mr Gilpatrick. He gave me over an hour of his time and after hearing my issue, advised me to not retain him. He was very knowledgeab...le and very honest. He could've easily lied to me and had me pay a retainer to him but instead chose to tell the truth and save me the money. I ended the conversation feeling much more at ease and educated. All attorney's aren't bad. Needless to say, I would retain this attorney in a heartbeat if needed.

I hired Steven to represent me, as the biological and primary parent of my child, in a high conflict co-parenting situation. The other party hired Aaron Wentz (whom endorses Steven on this platform). It is apparent to me now that Steven and Aaron tricked me into signing a Stipulated Timesharing Agree...ment when the father in this case used my estranged and abusive ex-husband and mother as "witnesses" of the fathers character vs. mine. The father had recently made acquaintances with these people to use against me in court. Steven made me feel fearful that the judge would consider testimony of these witnesses, without any sufficient proof. Steven did not represent me and my child, but instead, took advantage of a single mother.

I hired Steve to do a simple change of venue motion. My ex wife filed a bogus suit in another county and since I have custody of all three children I hired Steve to first win the change of venue since we had been living here with the children for several years, and then subsequently to take the case ...after the venue change. I hired Steve because I had heard he was good. Steve ignored my emails but charged me for reading them (evidently a malpractice claim in itself). He was totally unprepared for the change of venue hearing and got his ass kicked. I had to hire a new lawyer to take over this case and he still can't believe how poorly Steve did. It was an easy win but he failed. Steve is a nice guy but he doesn't give a damn about his clients. It's a paycheck and nothing more.

Steve was only worried about billing me and not winning my case. My wife's lawyer took him to town on our first round of paper work. He did not advise me according to the law. I only found this out once I switched lawyers because his staff had such poor customer service. So I wasted $3500 for him to ...do nothing. Steve is a smooth talker but can't back it up. Don't waste your money.
