John Fares Asmar

John Asmar is a Civil Trial Attorney in Pensacola, Florida. Mr. Asmar is a native Floridian from Northwest Florida. Mr. Asmar and his family have been active members of the Pensacola Community for over 50 years.

Before creating his own Firm in Penscola, Florida, Mr. Asmar practiced Land Use, Governmental, Environmental, and Real Estate Law in Southwest Florida. In addition to Mr. Asmar's experience in the legal field, Mr. Asmar has over 14 years of professional experience in loval government serving communities throughout the State of Florida. Mr. Asmar has served as City Manager for the City of Homestead, Florida, Deputy City Manager of North Miami Beach, Florida, Administrator for Planning and Development Services for the City of Clearwater, Florida, and Assistant County Administrator for Escambia County, Florida. More recently, Mr. Asmar has served as Chief of Staff for the Mayor of the City of Pensacola, Florida. In that position, Mr. Asmar was instrumental in transforming the City of Pensacola into a Strong Mayor form of government.

Mr. Asmar is an experienced state and local legislative liasion. Mr. Asmar has represented private businesses, local governments and authorities, statewide organizations and individuals before state and local governments. Mr. Asmar is a frequent speaker on various topics concerning local and statewide issues such as economic development, smart growth, sustainable communities, environmental protection, community redevelopment, consumer protection and disaster recovery and response.
