Sinko v. Nashville Midnight Oil
N/AOUTCOME:
Mr. Sinko, a bartender at Cadillac Ranch here in Nashvile (Broadway), was the victim of several incidents involving Cadillac Ranch bouncers over the past several years. Mr. Sinko was fired one evening ... by a bouncer manager and refused to leave without speaking to head management. Mr. Sinko was then roughed up, arm-barred improperly, placed in handcuffs, and turned over to the Metro Police for aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and theft. Mr. Sinko's criminal defense attorney, Mr. Robert Vaughn (arguably the best criminal defense attorney in Nashville) referred his client, Mr. Sinko, to us to see about whether he should sue his employer for the injuries he sustained. We filed suit for the intentional torts of assault, battery, false imprisonment, and negligent hiring. Mr. Sinko's criminal charge were dismissed and he reached a settlement with his former employer regarding his injuries.
