Medical Malpractice case where we alleged the doctor failed to take preventative measures to reduce the possibility of blood clots after surgery. As a result, Captain Markham died. This was my first ... jury trial. I did the opening and closing, and examined some of the witnesses. Although a jury found the defendant was not responsible, we had already negotiated a $300,000 settlement for our client as the jury was deliberating.
