Biography
I grew up in Vernon, FL and graduated from Vernon High School with Top Honors in 1981. I also graduated magna cum laude from the School of Business and Industry at Florida A & M University ("FAMU") with a degree in Accounting 1985; and graduated from the University of Texas, School of Law in Austin, Texas in 1993.
After graduating from FAMU, I worked PriceWaterhouse, LLP for a number of years and the Associates Corporation of North America as an independent auditor and internal auditor, respectively. While working at the Associates, I audited divisions throughout the U.S., and Great Britian. I am a former Texas Certified Public Accountant ("CPA").
While growing up in the small rural community of Vernon, I learned the value of keeping your word, hard work, education and fair and honest dealing with people.
