Sasha Amanda Hodder

I am the founder and principal attorney of Hodder Law Firm, P.A., a Florida-based law firm focused on financial technology, cryptocurrency, payments, and financial services regulation.

My practice focuses on helping businesses navigate complex federal and state regulatory requirements, particularly money transmitter licensing (MTLs), FinCEN Money Services Business (MSB) registration, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, and the regulatory treatment of digital assets and payment services.

I represent cryptocurrency exchanges, OTC trading desks, Bitcoin ATM operators, payment processors, fintech startups, and other financial services businesses. My work includes multistate licensing strategies, regulatory applications, compliance program development, state regulatory examinations and inquiries, commercial agreements, and regulatory legal opinions. I also advise clients on matters involving the SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, OFAC, and state financial regulators.

Before founding Hodder Law Firm, I served as Senior Legal Counsel at Exodus Movement, Inc., where I worked on complex legal and regulatory matters involving digital assets, including the company's $75 million Regulation A+ offering. My experience also includes securities law, corporate transactions, and financial regulatory compliance.

My background in financial services predates my legal career. I began my professional career in the securities industry, holding FINRA Series 7 registration before moving into investment product distribution and financial services. This experience provides me with a practical understanding of the businesses, markets, and financial products that my clients operate and develop.

In 2026, I was appointed to serve as a FINRA arbitrator, bringing together my experience in securities, financial services, and law.

I believe effective legal counsel requires more than identifying regulatory obstacles. My approach is to understand each client's business model, assess the legal and commercial risks, and develop practical solutions that allow innovative businesses to operate and grow within applicable regulatory frameworks.

Outside my legal practice, I am a lifelong competitive athlete with more than 30 national championship titles in swimming, rowing, and kayaking. I continue to compete in rowing, swimming, and endurance sports.
