Edward C Akel

Edward Akel, a certified public accountant, focuses his practice on corporate and partnership law, including formation of corporations, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, and limited partnerships; preparation of business and commercial transaction agreements; partnership, shareholder and LLC operating agreements; employment, deferred and incentive compensation agreements; phantom stock plans; stock appreciation plans and related agreements; as well as mergers and acquisitions. He is also a Board Certified Tax Lawyer assisting with many tax-related issues, including estate planning, domestic and international business, and Florida sales tax issues.

Mr. Akel also assists clients with the preparation of wills and revocable living trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and other estate planning documents designed to obtain the maximum tax advantages for the lifetime and testamentary transfer of wealth and handles all types of real estate transactions, including contract preparation, closing services, leases, mortgages, guarantees, sales, acquisitions, exchanges (like kind tax-deferred 1031 exchanges), leasing, and commercial condominiums. He is member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Rotary Club of Deerwood.
