Ray Allan Mantle

I practiced law in NYC for 37 years, starting as a corporate associate with Paul Weiss Rifkind in 1967, but with some IP practice.  I joined the start up firm of Milgrim Thomajan & Jacobs in 1969 and gradually focused more and more on a commercial IP practice, usuallly related a commercial transaction (such as venture capital financing, merger & acquistion, licensing or transfer of technology, registration of TM or copyrights, etc.   MTL grew to 140 lawyers in 6 cities over 26 years, but in 1995 it blew apart.  I and a group of us in NYC joined the NYC office of Piper & Marbury (now DLA Piper).  In 1998 I left Piper to join a smaller firm more focused on my areas of practice and stayed there until 2003 when I moved to Jacksonville FL. I stayed of counsel to that firm until 2006, but now practice as a sole practitioner.

I am a certified rules official for the FL State Golf Assn and work abouit 20 tournments a year.  I also am Chairman of the Senior Men's Interclub of Jacksonville (which consists of 15 clubs in NE FL that hold monthly tournaments). I play over 100 rounds of golf a year.
