An attorney with knowledge, kindness and professionalism

Marla came into my life when it was falling apart in every way possible. I needed someone to be my voice. I needed someone with a good heart, expertise in Elder Law, good reputation, and a hard worker. My case wasn’t simple. I wasn’t simple. I’ve had the honor of witnessing Marla interact with elderl...y clients. As I’d just lost my Mother, it meant so much to see how she truly has a heart for all people, especially the ones who need to be protected. I was a challenging client. Marla met me with compassion, kindness, expertise, and explained the path with respect and honesty. She worked well with the other attorney and demanded respect for me and my case. She was a buffer as I was far too emotional to be reasonable. I promise you’ll be so grateful for everything that makes Marla an exemplary human being, stellar attorney, and who will handle your case as it’s her only priority. She is a skilled attorney who’s very good at reading the intentions of others. I fully believe that her work, for my case, honored what my Mother would want. Thank you for being my voice, showing me kindness, traveling a bumpy road alongside me, and using every skill in your bucket to help me find peace and a resolution.

Picked up the pieces and ran with it.

Our first lawyer had to remove himself from the case in June of 2020. Marla was chosen to continue with a messy family situation resulting from the mediation of the case. She did what was needed to pick up all the pieces and carry the load so that we could concentrate on caring for mom and not have... to worry ourselves about the legal end of things. It was wonderful having someone "hold our hand" and guide us through the trials and tribulations of guardianship and estate disposition.

Marla was a godsend

We contacted Marla in January, 2018 to handle the probate of our deceased son's estate. His death was sudden and we were in shock. Marla was so kind and understanding. I filed to be his personal representative of the estate to protect my grandson. Marla worked tirelessly and the probate was completed... satisfactorally. We don't know what we have done without her. She is sweet, kind, very intelligent and has a big heart. We will not hesitate to contact her again if the need arises..

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
