Benjamin Montemayor

Originally I am from a small town called Shakopee, Minnesota and spent the first few years of my life traveling with my parents, spending time in South Korea before we settled in Columbia, South Carolina.  I grew up in South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2008 with a degree in History.  I moved to Jacksonville that same year to attend Florida Coastal School of Law.  I graduated and became a licensed attorney in Florida 2011 and currently awaiting admittance to the state bar of New York. 

Prior to turning to law, I spent a period of time working for a general contractor in South Carolina starting in the field as a laborer but finishing my tenure as a project cost estimator.  In that position I would create budgets and proposals for projects such as interior renovations of commercial buildings, streetscape improvements, and decorative paving for downtown projects. 

Having a diverse background gives me the ability to advise and counsel on a wide range of topics.  And though I may not be able to provide assistance on every issue, I’ll make sure you leave better informed and with a referral to someone who may be better suited to your individual needs.   My goal is to provide you with the best legal representation and provide the best experience possible as you deal with your legal matter.
