Client Review of James A. Bledsoe

This lawyer lacks the courage to stand up for what is right for his client. He is about maintaining the status quo as well as his position within his law firm. He is not a trial attorney even though he may advertise it in his bio, so be prepared to settle with the opposing counsel even if it is no...t in your best interest. If the business side of the law ( i.e. his own self interest) conflicts in any way with the pursuit of justice, he will most likely choose the business side every time. He operated more or less solo within his firm, and did not have the adequate support staff in house to address all of the pertinent issues involved in our case - it was one of the reasons I felt the case was compromised. He was overwhelmed, un organized with papers everywhere, understaffed, did not have a good solid legal strategy. In the end, he failed to adequately represent me and his overall representation was poor.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
