Great Lawyer

Choosing Howard was the best decision I made when I was involved in a car crash that was not my fault. Howard and Drew made sure I always knew what was going on and never failed to answer any of my questions. They listened to me and helped me get through some of the toughest parts of my life. I am fo...rever grateful for them.

An Attorney that truly had my back!

When I first saw Howard in action, I knew I didn't have to worry anymore. He had complete command of my depositiions, was so intellegent and knowledgable, and took control of the opposition, and took care of me from beginning to end. It was such a relief I didn't have the burden anymore, because I k...new I was in the right hands He took a nerve-wrecking situation for me and from start to finsih got me through it and a settlement offer beyond what I could have expected. As a minister with integrity and honesty, I can gladly say that Howard is a man of character as well, which importance could not be understated for me. After two cases over a period of ten years with Howard, I would recommend him to anyone who is in a time of need.

Exceeded our best expectations

My family and I visited with the Butler Law Group on May 8, 2013 as my mother was confined in Orange Park Hospital in Orange Park, Florida, facing imminent death from a cardio-pulmonary arrest she suffered from the night before. It was a heart-wrenching time but it was also the culmination of a succe...ssful closure to a year and a half of work done by the Butler Law Group to pursue a claim on behalf of my family against State Farm, arising from the death of my father due to brain injuries he sustained from a vehicular homicide the morning of December 19, 2011. The final settlement which we all witnessed to and agreed upon that morning exceeded our best expectations as it was way beyond what State Farm originally offered as “just compensation”. This compensation as a “death benefit” was also in the opinion of the lawyer my elder sister originally consulted and who was supposedly her friend , the “most” the family will be entitled to. I remembered that meeting well. Two attorneys- a male and female-from a law group whose name I don’t care to remember anymore showed up in Orange Park hospital as my father was in the last throes of death. Right off the bat, the meeting did not go well. Both were annoyed that we were late at the meeting which took place in the hospital lobby. After being appraised of the facts of the case, they declined to accept the case because in their view, there is going to be very little left after their legal fees have been taken off and we as a family are better off settling for what State Farm is prepared to offer- the death benefit amounting to $ 10,000.00. I came away from that meeting with an even more profound sense of loss and injustice done to my father who passed away a few minutes ago on that afternoon of December 27, 2011. I cannot overcome my indignation at this injustice because even though there is no price tag that can be attached to the cost of life, it was a grave injustice that my father, although he was already 88 years old at the time of his death but was still strong and at the pink of his health and looking forward to several years of his life, will be reduced to a simple statistic-“deceased-worth 10K” and funds approved for release. And so upon my mother’s and family’s consent, I was tasked to explore the feasibility of appointing another lawyer to pursue the case and I became the designated Personal Representative of the family. I know it will be a difficult case to handle because there are critical factors mitigating against the claim. The crux of it all was my father’s refusal to be taken to the hospital when he was struck by the motorist who crossed the red light as my father was crossing Blanding Boulevard. This was witnessed by the ambulance and police personnel who responded at that time. I think that my father’s declination to be taken to the hospital was due to the fact that the motorist who struck him turned out to be the daughter-in-law of my father’s best friend which may have lead him to misperceive the true extent of his injuries as several witnesses later on testified that he was hit very hard. He later on collapsed that afternoon in a kennel park. My mother subsequently did not wish to press charges or claims against the motorist, again on account of family ties of friendship, and the motorist was later on issued only a citation and ordered by the court judge to complete a safety course. So it is in the context of all of these that I literally stumbled upon the Butler Law Group’s website. I remember that moment particularly well. It was a simple Google search captioned “ best injury lawyer-Jacksonville, Florida”. There was a plethora of law firms that surfaced as well as those with banners advertising their services. It was as if an unknown hand led me immediately first and last to the Butler Law Group website. As I read on the cases it successfully handled, I had no doubt at all at that moment that this is the best law firm who can best represent my family.
