Moved to Jacksonville in 1985 with the U.S. Navy. Honorable Discharged in 1989. Graduated from University of North Florida in 1994 then University of Florida College of Law in 1999. Worked for the Public Defender's office for the 4th circuit after graduating until entering private practice in 2004.
Married with two children. Oldest is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force and the youngest is entering University of South Florida in the Fall of 2012.
Attends St. Justin Martyr Orthodox Church.
