Mark Edward Calvin

I am an AV-rated attorney—Martindale Hubbell’s highest peer-review rating for legal ability and ethical standards.  I began my career in 1995 with a small personal injury firm. I have represented individuals injured in accidents or due to other acts of negligence my entire career. I enjoy learning the medicine and understanding the nature of my client’s injury. Gaining insight about the medicine helps me convey to the insurance company, or jury, how the injury has affected my client in the past and the future.

Although I have handled a wide variety of personal injury cases over my career, in the last several years, I have focused on car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability claims, slip/trip/fall cases, biking accidents, and dog bite claims.  I have represented individuals who have had a variety of injuries from strains and sprains to brain injuries and orthopedic issues requiring surgery.  I have also represented families in wrongful death cases for their loved ones who have passed away. 

Since 1995, I have been a member in good standing of both the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.  I graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 1995 with a Juris Doctor degree.  Prior to entering law school, I attended Vanderbilt University and received a bachelor's degree in Economics with a Business Minor. I have lived in Jacksonville most of my life. I married my college sweetheart and we have two children, ages 21 and 24. I am past President of the Jacksonville Justice Association, a local group of civil justice attorneys dedicated to the rights of individuals. My spare time is spent with my family. My daughter is a software designer in NYC and my son is a senior in college.  I often attend my son's sporting events taking photos of the athletes.  I am a former youth coach for soccer and football. I enjoy photography, all things tech, outdoor activities, and spending time with my family.
