Jacqueline (“Jackie”), a Jacksonville native, completed her Bachelor’s of Science degree at Florida State University in 1995. She was granted admission into the Golden Key National Honor Society. Then, in 1998, Jackie received her law degree from the California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1998 and the Florida Bar in 1999. To start her legal career, Jackie first served as an Assistant Public Defender in Jacksonville for approximately three years, basically living in the courtroom. Subsequently, for over a decade, she represented large insurance companies and many huge employers. Several years ago, Jackie also became Medicare Set Aside Consultant Certified (MSCC), through the University of Florida. Jackie has since taught countless seminars pertaining to medical matters to insurance companies and employers. Jackie was even a lecturer for the Florida Bar teaching other lawyers. Seeing the lack of basic health care available in Haiti on many recent trips, while practicing law full time, a few years ago, Jackie completed a year of study to become a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT). She has also enjoyed participating as a presenter for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid’s free clinic on family law matters in both Duval and Clay County. In addition to travelling to Haiti, Jackie has served as a “Big Sister” with the Big Brother/Big Sister mentoring program, has enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle and has enjoyed her four-legged kids. However, Jackie is now the proudest mom of a human toddler. She is an active member of the Collaborative Family Law Group of NEFL and is an active member and currently serves as the Historian for the FL Family Law Inn of Court. Jackie presently practices in the areas of Family Law, Social Security Disability, Motorcycle Accidents, Wills and Trusts, Medicare Compliance including Medicare Set Asides and Conditional Payment/Lien Resolutions, Traffic Tickets, and Criminal Record Sealing and Expungements.
