Biography
I am a retired JSO police officer, having proudly served with the agency for 25 years, the last 5 of which were as legal advisor to the agency. I also proudly served for 6 years in the United States Navy as an electronics technician (surface warfare), which is how I ended up moving to Jacksonville in 1986. I grew up as a Navy brat, and was fortunate to spend 9 years of my youth living in Europe (Germany, Scotland and Italy, where I graduated from high school).
I am a pilot and aircraft owner, a scuba diver (former member of the JSO Dive Team) and avid cyclist - primarily mountain biking, but will do "roadie" stuff as well.
I have also been the victim of a nearly fatal personal injury, when the police boat on which i was a passenger crashed into a bridge piling at 30 mph causing me to experience severe facial injuries and a broken neck. So, when I tell my injured clients that I know what they are dealing with, I really mean it!
