Words cannot express how grateful we were for Mr. McRae representing us against a hospitals false claims of child neglect. He immediately took the case to defend us when allegations were made in a Friday evening and we were removed from the hospital with no notice. Over the next few weeks he spent an... enormous amount of time on our case, working tirelessly to clear our name and to reunite us with our son. Not only was he able to have all the alleviation’s dismissed by the judge for lacking probable cause, he was also able to have the DCF investigator admit that the allegations against us were fraudulent while under oath. In January of 2020 my husband was arrested for a DUI and I was referred to Jacob by a coworker the next morning. In January of 2020, I was arrested for DUI. I had never been in any sort of legal trouble, and had absolutely no idea what to do upon arrest or during my first appearance. Luckily my wife had spoken with Jacob upon referral. Jacob appeared on my behalf and set my arraignment with the judge during my ...first appearance before the court. Prior to arraignment, Jacob met with me and outlined a strategy for my defense. Jacob built a strong case and guided me through the process of gathering documentation to use as mitigation. Jacob was extremely persistent in communicating with the State Attorney's Office and successful in requesting that they entertain a plea deal of Reckless Driving. As the SAO reviewed the case, Jacob also guided me through the process of obtaining my "Business Purpose" license so that I could remain employed and maintain my quality of life after my driver's license was suspended. Following a few rounds of discussion with the SAO, Jacob was successful in negotiating my case down to a plea of reckless driving (the best possible outcome, from my perspective). I am extremely grateful for Jacob's representation during this ordeal, and am 100% confident that it was his persistence and strategic guidance that allowed for successful resolution of the case. I am thoroughly impressed by Jacob's understanding of the law and his invaluable perspective as a former prosecutor. On a personal level I have a great deal of respect for Jacob as a veteran, and as someone who genuinely cares about justice being carried out fairly and equitably.
