She might as well have been working for the other side. They filed objections to everything. She agreed with all their demands. She never once advocated for me. When she was retained she agreed to travel if necessary. Then refused to travel or had “other clients” on my days in court. Even with the so...cial investigator that the other side insisted on finding in my favor, she was unable to get custody of my son. I had to now go find and start over with competent counsel, who secured alimony but could only get me 50/50 custody even after all the abuse we had been through since it had dragged out so long. Stephanie’s office couldn’t even be bothered to hurry sending my files to the new attorney. It took 4 months. Just thinking of the high price my children and I paid emotionally is heartbreaking. If you are coming from a place of domestic abuse, do not subject yourself to more suffering. Choose anybody else.

I retained Ms. Gurrola's services a few months ago to handle my divorce and she and her staff were extremely professional throughout the entire handling of my case. She kept me informed of all the details of the case and was always very understanding of the situation and never made empty promises to... me the way that many other attorney's do. Mrs. Gurrola is a very inexperienced divorce attorney. During the course of my divorce she did not present any evidence that I had brought to her. She did not call any witnesses that could testify on my behalf. And when the verdict came back and I had LOST CUSTODY OF MY SON. She calmly told me that... it was going to be okay and she would look into seeing if there was a reason to reopen the case (well she never found a reason). I IMMEDIATELY found another attorney who in the 10 day window was able to find multiple missteps taken by Mrs. Gurrola throughout my case. I IMMEDIATELY FIRED Mrs. Gurrola and retained my new attorney Deborah Greene. Deborah was able to get me custody of my son back by presenting the evidence and calling witnesses that I had given to Mrs. Gurrola. Mrs, Greene is VERY COMPETENT in the area of DIVORCE! Please if you are looking to preserve your family and retain custody of your child/ren I suggest you look elsewhere! I would hate for anyone else to have to go through the HORRORS I endured while under Mrs. Gurrolas guidance.
