Biography
Focusing his practice on criminal defense, Attorney James Haslett co-owns Haslett Law with his wife, Attorney Betsy Haslett. James earned his undergraduate degree in sociology and psychology from Southern Illinois University in 2002. He served as a litigation assistant at Thompson Coburn LLC in St. Louis, Missouri before enrolling in law school of Florida Coastal School of Law where he earned his J.D. and a specialized certificate in legal research and writing.
Since graduating from law school, James has gained experience representing criminal defendants in both Clay and Duval counties while serving as an Assistant Public Defender for the Fourth Judicial Circuit Office. He has first-chaired several jury and non-jury trials successfully.
