General practice lawyer | Nov 01

Relationship: Worked for lawyer

"Mr. Davie has been a great influence on me in my practice as a lawyer. I came to work for him very early in my legal career and though it was a brief internship, he taught me the value of evaluating facts from all perspectives. He is a consummate professional, gives great attention to detail, and is passionate about obtaining the best possible result for his clients. I highly recommend him."

Estate planning lawyer | Nov 01

Relationship: Family member

"My father, Jim Davie, is the reason I got into the legal profession, and his path has guided mine ever since. Although he started his career working in the most prestigious firm in Jacksonville, he left that lucrative position for the ability to spend more time with his family. Instead of continuing to serve the elite of Jacksonville, he dedicated his life to helping the citizens of Clay and the surrounding counties. The time he saved by leaving a large firm has instead been spent in the community: Housing the needy by helping found Clay County Habitat for Humanity; helping the indigent navigate the legal system (earning the Clay County Bar Association Pro Bono Award in 1997), coaching soccer and volunteering for his Church. His commitment to bringing extraordinary legal services to people of this relatively small and close-knit community inspired me to leave my position with a well-known firm in Ocala and join him here in Clay County."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
