Result was withdrawal of Adverse Appraisal and 90-day extension of Probation Period in new job, and agreement to cease the on-the-job harassment, which we are still monitoring.

OUTCOME: Successfully redrafted Will to Client's satisfaction.
Client needed will updated. Took case, got details, and drafted new will. Client very satisfied.
OUTCOME: Damaging party paid $3000 settlement for damages totaling $2800.
Retained by client to represent him in securing a damage settlement from electrical utility provider in neighboring state. Problem was, I was not licensed to practice in that state. The case involv ... ed damage to water and sewer lines at apartment complex owned by client. Utility contractor had rolled over lines in process of installing a heavy transformer with heavy material handling equipment. A site visit revealed the virtual impossibility of installing the transformer without rolling over the subject water and sewer lines. Utility had refused acknowledgement of damage and was not receptive to settlement. I assembled a "Demand Letter" packet with attachments of photos and invoices, all captioned and marked. After receiving packet, utility decided to pay settlement.
OUTCOME: Successful Divorce, and moreover, the opposing party will probably use me to draft his will.
Took divorce case at behest of a friend who recommended me. Case was supposedly a friendly, uncontested divorce. Although I didn't particularly want to do Family Law and this was my first case, I agr ... eed to do it. Also, since this was my first case, and the state of Georgia required that I have a "mentor" for the Transition into Law Practice Program (TILPP), I contacted another attorney to "look over my shoulder" in processing the case. It turned out, after I got into it, that there WAS contest! At times, I had to negotiate with the opposing party, who did not desire to be represented by counsel. Despite this impediment, I was able to secure all necessary agreements for child support, child custody parenting plan, and the pre-arranged agreements between the parties.
OUTCOME: Successful claim of CD
Neighbor needed update of expired Testamentary/Probate Letter to claim an overlooked CD from her late husband's bank. Quickly secured the update and she was able to get her CD.
OUTCOME: Avoided Expense and Frustration of Client pursuing a futile case.
Evaluated details of a VA Disability Claim for client who thought he had a viable case against the VA. Research indicated that he was in the category of Veterans for which the relief he sought was not ... available. This research saved the Client needless expense and effort pursuing a futile case.
OUTCOME: Ongoing but promising
Ongoing Case. Client is a member of a family with disputes as to legal claim to a large piece of land/property in neighboring county. Case details involve a putatively fraudulent Quitclaim Deed from ... 1967, which resulted in client, 4 brothers, and two cousins being cheated out of their inheritance to their portion of this land. In process of coordinating with Attorney in Florida for resolution of case. Have assembled detailed property records, deeds, plats, etc. on subject property.
