Stephen Glenn Adkins

Stephen (Steve) G. Adkins is an aggressive trial lawyer focusing his practice in criminal defense and personal injury. A skilled courtroom advocate, Steve has close to twenty years of legal experience representing clients charged with felony and misdemeanor crimes, Driving Under the Influence (DUI), serious traffic violations, and plaintiff injury cases. Steve practices in over forty different courts in the South Georgia area. Steve is highly skilled in DUI law and is certified in Standard Field Sobriety Testing and DUI Detection. He also is certified on the breath testing machines (Intoxilyzer 9000 and Alco-Sensor) used by law enforcement, and he represented more than 500 clients charged with DUI in his career. Steve is a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a past president of the Valdosta Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He taught as an adjunct professor in the Political Science Department at Valdosta State University from 2008 to 2012. Steve is a native of Valdosta, Georgia, and attended public schools. A 1989 Valdosta High School graduate, Steve was a member of the Wildcat football team that compiled a 39-2 record and won a National Championship. He is a former past president of the Kiwanis Club of Valdosta. Steve and his family attend St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Valdosta. Away from the office, Steve enjoys fishing and hunting.
