Garbage

Mr. Tucker gave me a false sense of hope that he could handle my case. I had video of my 1st,4th,and 5th amendment rights being violated and he didn't even look at the video. When my wife called him he told her he would have me out of jail where I never should have been when we had a motion to suppr...ess hearing in a few weeks . He wasn't ready so it was postponed for another 2 months and he wasn't ready again. Then finally after being locked up for 11 months we had the hearing and he said there was nothing he could do . He plain and simply sold me out. No question about it. I finally had to cut a deal myself with the day while he stood there talking with the judge like they were bff's and later did the same with the da. He took my mom money and my wife's money and they were both struggling to make ends meet at the time and he did absolutely nothing. He's very moody and if he don't know u or someone who does u better get a boat paddle bc he will sell u down the river. I even told him that the police and the DA were lying and I had proof but he said it wouldnt help me. I finally showed the parole board my case and they in turn sent me straight to a work place to make money and shortly after released me. He never even offered to refund my people's money. I hope if u have a criminal case and don't have much money u leave this guy alone. I hope u listen. Thiggpin out of waycross helped me get my case be gone. Call him if u want a lawer

forfeiture client

I was a client of Alan Tucker. He said negative things about me to my family member, breached confidentiality by talking about my case untruthfully to the D.A. and it seemed like he wanted to incriminate me in a meeting where he talked about me negatively in front of my children. He impersonated my ...husbands lawyer and sent a message through jail guards that my husband had court, when it was actually for me and I showed up with my children and had to be outside, not knowing he's inside answering on a monetary claim on my behalf, when I didn't even know I was being called, and settled for half the amount with no explanation of why or preparation for the case. I was given the false message the night before court, sadly I gave him my up to date number three times. I feel from the disrespect displayed at our last meeting and phone call he knew that I wouldn't have come to court without another lawyer present and would have been prepared for the case properly if given notice in proper time. When I called to find out what happened he became quickly angered didn't even answer my questions and had the nerve to hang up on me. I gave him money as my lawyer and he took every chance to take shots at me verbally about my situation sending me in a state of depression that I still struggle with and I feel like a fool for ever calling him my lawyer and sadly he still hasn't sent me all the information on my case to be reviewed by another lawyer.

Tuker Hater

I contacted Mr. Tucker about possibly representing me in court for a "Contract Litigation". The conversation started out fine, I was telling the story and he was listening. As the conversation progressed I could hear the frustration in his voice as I keep asking him to repeat his self because I was ...not understanding all of the legal termination that he was using. Then he proceeds to raise his voice at me asking me " What? Are you a BLOOMING IDOT " At this point I am in tears and so confused at what was taking place. I thought I was calling for help with my case, not to be talked to like I was STUPID !!!! He was so RUDE !! I was about to give this man money to represent my case in court!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!

False advertising on his website

I recently contacted this lawyer about helping me get a misdemeanor sealed or expunged from my record. I called his office he was in court at the time. He later called me back and informed me that that there was nothing I could do about my record, his words>>> I would be stuck with it forever. This ...was my only time ever geting in trouble at that and happened almost 7 years ago. He told me that in the state of Georgia you cannot get your record expunged, but on his website it clearly talks about how he would help you get expungments and record seals! He is advertising falsely and also doesn't seem very interested in helping clients. I have talked to another lawyer and looks like there is something that could be done about my situation. I would not recommend.

RESPONSE TO TIMMY ELLIS' REVIEW

THE OTHER REVIEW WAS DONE BY TIMMY ELLIS WHO RECENTLY COMMITTED SUICIDE BECAUSE HE FINALLY LOST THE CASE WHERE HE LIED AND PERJURED HIMSELF IN HIS ATTEMPT TO GET ANOTHER FRIEND AND CO-WORKER ARRESTED FOR A BURGLARY THAT NEVER OCCURRED. MR. TUCKER REPRESENTED THE CO-WORKER EVEN THOUGH HE AND MR. ELLIS... HAD BEEN LIKE BROTHERS FOR YEARS BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT MR. ELLIS WAS LYING ABOUT THE BURGLARY OF MR. ELLIS' SHOP. MR ELLIS FILED SEVERAL BAR COMPLAINTS AND EVEN TRIED TO HAVE MR. TUCKER ARRESTED. THE STATE BAR OF GEORGIA RULED IN MR. TUCKER'S FAVOR AND THE MAGISTRATE COURT JUDGE REFUSED TO ISSUE THE WARRANT AGAINST HIM. WHEN THE CASE WAS FINALLY DISMISSED AGAINST THE CO-WORKER BY THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, MR. ELLIS COMMITTED SUICIDE. MR. TUCKER DID NOTHING WRONG TO MR. ELLIS. HE IS A STAND UP ATTORNEY WHO WILL EVEN GO AGAINST HIS BEST FRIEND WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
