Wife signed a quitclaim deed and the parties' residence was purchased in Husband's name alone. Attorney Graf represented Husband at trial in the parties' divorce case. After presentation of evidence ... and cross-examination of Wife concerning her ability to understand the legal effect of the Quitclaim and her reason for signing it, the trial court ruled in Husband's favor and awarded the house to him as his separate property. The trial judge found that Wife entered into the transaction freely, voluntarily and with a full understanding of the quitclaim deed. Wife received $0 interest in the residence and filed an appeal.
