Michael Brian Magee

Mr. Brian Magee brings a tremendous depth of experience to your case. One of a handful of attorneys in the Nation to hold a Masters of Law (LLM) in Federal Criminal Practice and Procedure, he is consistently sought out for his intellect, work ethic, and performance. 

Mr. Magee has experience from every angle in the courtroom. A few of the positions he has held throughout his career include working as a judicial law clerk to five Superior Court judges serving eight counties in the state of Georgia; a Special Assistant United States Attorney responsible for prosecuting in federal court crimes committed on a military installation; the senior prosecutor for the the iconic Parris Island and Marine Corps Eastern Recruiting Region, which is responsible for all recruiters east of the Mississippi River; and an appellate defense attorney vindicating the rights of those convicted of serious criminal offenses.

Additionally, Mr. Magee has experience handling a wide spectrum of cases. He has worked on cases ranging from as simple as traffic violations, to as serious and complex as death penalty murder, an $80 million Ponzi scheme,  and complex computer crimes. Several of the cases Mr. Magee has worked on received national and international media attention.

In 2013, he was hand-selected to train and advise Marine Corps prosecutors across the globe as part of the Marine Corps Trial Counsel Assistance Program. He was also selected to represent the Marine Corps as part of a congressional working group studying 27 civilian criminal justice jurisdictions and making recommendations regarding proposed changes to the military justice system.

Mr. Magee earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. He went on to graduate first in his class at the Department of the Navy’s Naval Justice School, and then to earn his Masters of Law from Mercer University.
